Garden City borders Surfside Beach to the south. Ironically the population in this city is much larger than Surfside. This is not a town with loads of activity. It has nice beaches and is pretty quiet. If you are looking for more action you’re not far from Myrtle Beach which is, of course, the main attraction on the Grand Strand. The highlight of Garden City would be its pier. The pier itself does not have all the activity as its next-door neighbor Surfside. However, it has been rated as one of the best piers on the Grand Strand at one time or another. The location of the city gives it access to the Atlantic Ocean and the inlet which makes it a prime spot for crabbing, fishing, and other watersports. If you are looking for a place to chill and enjoy magnificent views you will enjoy Garden City. It is known for its pristine beaches and amazing views.
